Hydraulics and Stream Design Engineer [0-3 yrs exp]

This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects which include: Bridge and Culvert Replacement Large Woody Material Placement Parks and Recreation Facilities We provide the opportunity for our engineers to take part in all aspects of the design process and look for candidates who want to be challenged and stretch outside their comfort zone. General project tasks that our engineers perform are as follows: Stream assessments Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling Scour Analysis Streambed Stability Analysis Large Woody Material Stability Analysis Prepare construction drawings Site grading Prepare technical reports Prepare project specifications Review and submit permit applications Provide construction administration support Communicate with design consultants, municipalities, contractors, and clients Attend site visits Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits. Capacity to move around project sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain. Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials. Minimum Qualifications B.S. Degree or higher EIT Certification (preferred) HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D experience is highly desirable Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills are essential Competency, accountability, and personal commitment to deliver quality work to our clients Compensation The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $74,000 - $93,000 determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
