Job Overview
Green Ford is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics, with a strong understanding of automotive systems. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the optimal performance of vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle status and recommendations.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, and powertrain systems.
Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting problems.
Provide accurate auto estimating for repair costs and time-frames to customers.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete repairs.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a mechanic or automotive technician in a dealership or service center environment.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in repairs and maintenance tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain components.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and techniques.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Compensation Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience.
