Overview POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team and support our pre-fabrication manufacturing site for MEP systems. In this role, you will drive process improvements, optimize manufacturing workflows, and ensure efficiency across all operations. You will be responsible for analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, experience with manufacturing processes, and a deep understanding of MEP systems. What you’ll do:

Reviews and understands overall project goals to establish key elements to ensure modular fabrication delivers targeted improvements in cost, schedule, quality, and labor reduction.

Coordinates with external stakeholders to establish Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) project goals and clearly define them for internal project team members.

Collaborates with design and fabrication teams to integrate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) ideologies into the project.

Conducts studies and develops standard work processes to optimize shop production and field install efficiency.

Analyzes and improves manufacturing workflows using lean principles to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Works closely with project managers, field superintendents, and procurement to ensure constructability and material readiness.

Assists in the development of manufacturing automation and digital tools (e.g., BIM integration, CNC processes, material handling).

Supports QA/QC efforts to ensure quality standards are met in prefabricated assemblies.

Participates in the planning and layout of prefabrication shops and work cells for efficient production.

Qualifications

Knowledge of construction project workflows and field installation logistics.

Proficiency with CAD software (FlexSIM, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and familiarity with BIM workflows.

Familiar with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.

Process improvement and manufacturing, and systems integration for large-scale construction projects.

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

9 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or prefabrication environment, preferably in the MEP or construction industry. Experience with piping systems, HVAC, or mechanical systems integration.
