Non-Management Position Summary
Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Ensure communication of daily activities and issues to other shifts. Demonstrate advanced ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC. Exhibit strong engineering operations skills and mechanical ability. Proficiency in categories such as air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building management. Use hand and power tools safely. Perform complex repairs on property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and codes. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical devices, HVAC, and other systems. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures. Display advanced knowledge of engineering software related to maintenance and energy management. Perform troubleshooting of MEP systems. Mentor other engineers and perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities. Follow safety policies, report hazards, and maintain confidentiality. Provide excellent guest service, maintain professional appearance, and support team goals. Lift objects up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs and ladders, and use computers for work-related information. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D., vocational or technical background. Extensive maintenance experience, including electrical or refrigeration work. At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience. No supervisory experience required. Valid Driver’s License.
