We are seeking a proactive and experienced

Purchasing Manager

to lead our procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is responsible for managing a purchasing team, optimizing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to support production and customer demand.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a purchasing team overseeing an annual spend of approximately $4 million.

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with ISO standards to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.

Conduct bi-weekly forecasting and spend analysis to support inventory planning and budget management.

Serve as the central point of coordination between sales, warehouse, and purchasing departments to resolve scheduling conflicts, production issues, and customer-driven changes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent material availability and negotiate favorable terms.

Oversee the transition of ERP systems from server-based to cloud-based platforms, acting as the internal lead for system migration and process optimization.

Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure alignment with company standards and expectations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and ERP systems

Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.

Familiarity with ISO standards and quality assurance processes.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fully onsite environment with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
