Overview
Shipping/Receiving Clerk at CAES by Honeywell. The role is responsible for a variety of moderately complex shipping and receiving tasks in a cross-functional environment. The position involves verifying information on shipments against purchase orders, invoices, or other documents to ensure processes are accurate and timely. Responsibilities
Receive and handle all incoming materials and supplies from suppliers Verify, check, document, distribute and follow up on orders received and delivered Assign receiving tickets to incoming orders to acknowledge receipts and track through to final destination Enter shipping data into computer terminals Investigate problems and follow up with requisitioner Verify part numbers on materials received against documents Prepare bill of lading Handle routine contacts with express and freight agents Use terminal to make corrections and inquire about shipments and orders Maintain inventory, general stock and company supplies Operate equipment such as computer terminals, printers, and lift trucks Inspect shipments for damages or defects Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items Participate in safety training and comply with safety policies and practices Contribute to 5S improvements in your area and participate in team meetings Qualifications
Minimum: 2 years of experience with freight carrier databases (e.g., FedEx, UPS) 2 years of related experience in shipping/receiving fundamentals Valid driver's license US export control eligibility: must be a “US Person” or eligible for approval; active security clearance required Preferred: Security clearance preferred or able to obtain to remain eligible Forklift certification Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience understanding written and verbal instructions Experience packaging and shipping chemicals Computer skills in Windows environment; ability to use enterprise systems SAP experience in shipping/receiving Analytical skills to review data, identify inconsistencies, and set priorities Ability to adapt to changing priorities with good time management Salary
Salary Range:
$22.00 - $25.00 hourly (Level II). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including location, job function, education, and experience. Benefits
