Summary

Delta Oaks Group is seeking an individual to perform various structural engineering analysis and design services, as part of our Structural Engineering Department located in Raleigh, NC. Positional Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chief Structural Engineer, the selected individual will perform design, computations, and evaluations generally associated with structures, across multiple markets including commercial and wireless telecommunications. Key tasks include: Structural analysis and design using manual calculations, commercial software, and in-house tools, focusing on foundation designs and tower reinforcement. Programming in-house tools for analysis, design, calculation, and report automation. Providing CAD support for structural design drawings and assisting other departments. Coordinating with field personnel for structure mapping and inspections. Preparing engineering reports with recommendations for structures. Reviewing jurisdictional requirements for analysis, design, and construction. Communicating with clients regarding design needs and deadlines. Reviewing and QA/QC of tasks completed by staff. Responding to owner/contractor queries under supervision. Providing training and guidance to junior staff. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and work ethic. Computer Software Experience

Proficiency with tower analysis software (e.g., tnxTower). Proficiency with finite-element software (e.g., RISA 3D). Experience with foundation analysis/design software (e.g., Caisson, LPILE). Competent use of visual calculation software (e.g., MathCAD). Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. Programming experience with VBA and object-oriented languages. Required Experience and Skills

4-6 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in wireless telecommunications structures. Strong technical communication skills and ability to interpret technical literature and plans. Advanced knowledge of tower and foundation reinforcement methods. Experience with structure mapping and inspection techniques. Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution is required. PE certification with a structural focus is preferred. Personal Traits
