Position Purpose
The Construction Manager is responsible for supervising the field construction of projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Essential Functions
Review project plans, schedule deliverables, and generate cost estimates. Evaluate specifications for procedures, timelines, and staffing needs. Obtain and compare bids; analyze contract drawings and specifications for issues or violations. Assist in developing and updating project schedules. Plan construction programs, including quality control, safety, utilities, and staging. Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers' activities. Verify subcontractor requirements and ensure permits and safety notices are in place. Work with inspection agencies and review daily reports from subcontractors. Participate in preparing monthly requisitions. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise vendors, contractors, and support personnel ensuring compliance with laws and policies. Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum five years’ experience in real estate construction, including transportation projects such as roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and water systems. Preferred Skills and Attributes
Knowledge of building codes and regulations. Experience managing construction projects and working with general contractors and subcontractors. Proficiency with MS Project. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. What CIM Offers
