A Day in Your Life As an FP&A Manager for Operations supporting the Photonics Solutions Division, you partner with Global Operations and Business Unit teams to drive planning and forward‑looking analysis of the division’s gross margin performance. You report to the Director of Finance, PSD Global Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the analytical process for impactful business decisions based on key performance indicators.
Lead quarterly/monthly business review (MBR/QBR) financial analysis and commentary.
Lead the plan of record (POR), quarterly forecasting, and weekly outlook process.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of financial analysis across entities.
Partner with cross‑functional business teams globally to manage functional spending reviews and profit and cash recovery initiatives.
Advise management on key financial drivers including revenue, operational drivers, expense management, headcount efficiency metrics, investment analysis, and profit and cash recovery opportunities.
Help implement pacing mechanisms with functional leaders for revenues, margins, inventory, capital expenditures, and headcount within a mixed system landscape.
Provide business intelligence on factory performance, opportunities, and challenges.
Contribute to deep dives and complex analysis to understand variances to budget, prior quarters, and prior years (bridges).
Perform or lead special projects and ad‑hoc financial reporting as required.
Establish credibility and act as a trusted business partner for Operations leadership.
Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA/CMA a plus.
8+ years of relevant experience in a finance role with hands‑on experience providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within a matrix organization and/or corporate environment.
Systems experience, including SAP/Oracle, Hyperion, HFM, MS Excel. Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize financial analysis results in a clear, concise, accurate manner.
Ability to work effectively with global and remote team.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience developing and implementing reporting processes.
Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, with confidence to challenge the status quo.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information.
The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Operates in a professional office environment.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Pay Range: $155k‑$165k per year.
Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, amount to be determined.
