The Project Controls Manager works closely with project management teams to monitor project budget and schedule performance, prepare projections based on trend data, analyze deviations, and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes. You’ll be involved in all phases of construction—from award to close-out—working with various systems and reports. This role is a critical member of the operations team and may supervise subordinates. What You Get To Do

Assist project controls leadership in implementing processes to achieve financial and schedule objectives. Gather current and forecasted cost information from project-specific trade partners. Provide leadership and development to subordinate project controls personnel. Review contract terms to identify project control measures and coordinate their implementation with project management. Apply project control measures to different contract types (e.g., lump sum, GMP, integrated lean project delivery). Develop work breakdown structures, cost codes, and categories to manage the project budget, schedule, and production. Review project estimates to understand scope, WBS, self-perform areas, subcontracted areas, and general requirements. Facilitate uploading project estimates and ensure estimated vs. actual billing rates align with contract terms. Set up project information in the accounting system, including cost codes and workflow roles. Collaborate to develop the billing schedule of values and ensure alignment with contract requirements. Lead development of project-specific plans for implementing project controls processes and tools to meet financial and schedule objectives. Support creation and maintenance of the project production management plan (master schedule, production strategy, constraint removal, weekly/daily plans, production tracking). Assemble and analyze productivity measures and progress metrics to forecast likely outcomes and identify variances; communicate findings to project leadership. Provide earned value reporting by integrating financial and schedule performance information for communication of variances. Lead financial forecasting for labor, materials, subcontracts, and general conditions; update revenue, cost, and final profit projections and identify variances. Identify deviations from contracted scope and prepare documentation/pricing for change requests. Organize and lead monthly project review meetings covering financial/schedule status, projections, cash, labor, productivity, earned value, risks and opportunities; develop improvement strategies. Assist in preparing overhead budgets and updates for the operating group. Coordinate project accounting audits by customers and facilitate routine audits of project control procedures. Complete other financial reporting and analyses to support project, operating group, and corporate objectives. Responsibilities may vary between a single large project or multiple smaller projects. What We Expect From You

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Controls, Business Administration, or Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of related construction project controls experience. In-depth knowledge of construction project controls principles and project management processes. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel; familiar with project management systems; Power BI knowledge is beneficial. A valid driver’s license may be required. MVR checks may impact eligibility for company vehicle programs. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

Frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours; occasional movement to access spaces. Constant use of a computer and office equipment. The anticipated salary range is $104,700 - $138,366 per year. Actual compensation depends on qualifications, location, and business needs.
