Overview
Water/Wastewater Project Manager - Hunt Valley, MD (onsite) Our Water/Wastewater (W/WW) team epitomizes dynamism and innovation. The right candidate will be mentored and encouraged to develop entrepreneurial spirit, expanding their expertise while collaborating with seasoned professionals. You will work on projects related to collection, conveyance, distribution, pumping, and treatment, with opportunities to contribute to and lead initiatives that shape the future of water and wastewater in local communities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manages project(s) in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborates with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk-adverse project scope and fee. Develops project-specific Project Management Plans and Quality Management Plans. Creates and maintains project schedules. Manages subconsultants. Monitors and executes project progress, identifies and mitigates risks, develops extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals. Communicates project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders. Participates in the office’s project financial status meetings. Builds relationships with clients to understand preferences and requirements for a quality project. Prepares progress reports and reviews invoices. Develops and leads project status updates and presentations. Assists Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with the marketing process, including SMART Go/No Go decisions, proposal development, and interviews. Coordinates and guides all technical resources within the project team to ensure delivery of a high-quality outcome. Provides coaching and mentoring to the project team through one-on-one check-ins and project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned. Leads and manages team members by providing leadership and ongoing performance management to support growth and development. Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program Registered Professional Engineer 10+ years of experience Experience delivering water and wastewater projects from design through construction phase engineering services Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong communication skills Strong presentation skills Works well in a team environment Preferred Experience
CAPM or PMP Experience working with local clients at the county and state level Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3) Experience managing multidiscipline project teams Benefits
