Job Description Fulfilling the duties as listed or instructed, relating to all functions of the Quality Control and Production Departments. This includes Receiving Inspection, Work-In-Process & Final Inspection, CNC machine shop, Paint shop, Wheel and brush, Product I.D. marking and Assembly.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Perform the job functions of the following inspection functions.
Receiving Inspection. This includes visual, mechanical and electrical inspections, all paperwork, and department liaison as required.
Work-In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection for all switch products, including all visual, mechanical and electrical inspections, all applicable paperwork and test reports, and department liaison as required.
Special duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager including specialized testing, electrical and environmental, as required by customer specifications.
Instruct assembly personnel in all required corrective actions.
Prepare and distribute monthly department reports as required by ISO-9001 procedures.
Enter In-Process and Final Job Information in the M2M Computer Management Information System.
The candidate shall be able to perform other duties as directed by the department supervisor in other departments such as CNC machine shop, Paint shop, Wheel and brush, Product I.D. marking and Assembly.
Working and handling product which is qualified to military specifications.
Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be fluent in oral and written English.
A self-starter who can work with minimal or no supervision. Must be alert for quality situations requiring immediate corrective action. Must be able to communicate with all levels of QC and production hourly and supervisory personnel.
Concentration and the ability to remain focused on a given problem or condition is of prime importance, while at the same time handling other problems or conditions, and doing all of this under deadline pressure.
Candidates for this position will be properly trained to handle qualified product and components in addition to performing group A and B inspections outlined in MIL-PRF-22710 and MIL-DTL-3786 and completing the test results sheets and summary reports. The quality manager will determine re-training requirements should it be necessary or a change in the requirements occurs.
Safety
Knowledge of standard safety procedures is required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. This experience preferably should be with a product line, which is a relatively small component, of an Electro-mechanical nature.
Additional experience with handling QPL product is desirable.
Additional experience working on Military/Defense/Aerospace product is desirable.
Must be US citizen.
Physical Requirements
Must have good eyesight for small details on small parts and the occasional use of optical equipment.
Light lifting – up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to set up and run test equipment using small hand tools.
