Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CT Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Hancock, Michigan. You will operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes, prepare patients, ensure imaging protocols are followed, and collaborate with radiologists to obtain high-quality images. Base Pay Range This range is provided by Fusion Medical Staffing. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT Certification
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary The CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients, position them for safety and image accuracy, follow imaging protocols, and work with radiologists to obtain high-quality images. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care.
Essential Work Functions
Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes
Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients
Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation
Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment
Document patient information and imaging parameters in the hospital system
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across facilities
Perform other duties as assigned within the CT Tech scope
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication
Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
Ability to read and follow instructions; proficiency in PC skills
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, and lift 50–100 lbs
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel
Technical/motor skills for assisting with procedures and using department equipment
Mental ability to manage deadlines, work under supervision when required, and handle varying schedules
Sensory: Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
