Overview
Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner position at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR with CommonSpirit Health. PRN weekend coverage: three 12-hour shifts, with potential weekday opportunities based on demand. Responsibilities
Provide PRN weekend hospital coverage, three 12-hour shifts, with occasional weekday coverage based on needs. Assist cardiovascular surgeons with patient rounding, assessment, documentation, and discharge planning. Document all patient care encounters, including assessments and progress notes. Communicate treatment plans, progress, and discharge instructions with patients, families, and caregivers. Collaborate with the CV Surgery APRN team and CVICU APRN team. Provide direct healthcare services within the APN scope of practice and in accordance with Collaborative Practice Agreements. Work with a team of 5 Cardiovascular Surgeons and 5 APRNs. Qualifications
Current RN/NP licensure in Arkansas and Acute Care certification. Completion of accredited graduate nursing program with preceptorship; current BLS; ACLS preferred for inpatient. Eligibility for Medicare provider number and DEA registration. Three to five years of clinical cardiovascular experience preferred; one year APN experience preferred. Where You'll Work
