Overview Our UVMMC Speech-Language Pathology team provides services to patients across the acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. As essential members of the multi-disciplinary team, we work with pediatric and adult patients with a wide range of needs, including impairments in speech, language, communication, and swallowing. Our team members provide evaluation and treatment as well as education and counseling to patients, families, and other care providers. Our Speech-Language Pathologists are also involved in consultative services within the organization and the community.
Responsibilities
Provide evaluation and treatment for pediatric and/or adult patients in outpatient and/or inpatient settings (dependent on experience and department needs).
Deliver education and counseling to patients, families, and other care providers.
Participate in consultative services within the organization and the community.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
Qualifications
Master's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
Clinical certification (CCC) or eligible to receive CCC from ASHA.
Licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the State of Vermont.
Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with pediatric or adult patients. Applicants with experience in the medical setting or those transitioning into this setting will be considered.
