Overview
The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Preoperative (Preop) and Post‑Acute Care Unit (PACU) experience to join a dedicated team that delivers exceptional patient care through collaboration, communication and evidence‑based practice. Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adhere to UAMS, ANA and specialty standards. Collect and document assessment data and develop a Plan of Care (POC) per standard. Implement POC, including medical orders and interdisciplinary collaboration. Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes. Deliver effective patient/family education and discharge planning. Administer medication per standard and provide drug information to patients and families. Act as a resource and support others. Delegate care based on UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements. Contribute to a positive work environment that supports clinical education. Perform any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, RN diploma or Master’s degree in Nursing. Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program. Valid Registered Nursing License. Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience. Basic computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Strong work ethic and accountability. Preferred Qualifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Scrubbing experience. Orthopedic experience is a plus. EPIC experience. Benefits
