Overview
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide medical leave coverage in a K-12 educational setting, located in the Belton, SC area. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in pediatric SLP services, including teletherapy and school-based therapy, seeking a focused, temporary assignment with meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
Deliver speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 41 students across 1-2 school sites.
Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Provide services primarily onsite, with flexibility for teletherapy as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Cover leave from the start date through September 28, with a scheduled break from September 29 to October 10, returning to work on October 13.
Qualifications
Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentialed for school and healthcare settings.
Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly within K-12 school environments.
Familiarity with delivering teletherapy services is a plus.
Ability to manage caseloads and coordinate with school personnel efficiently.
Compassionate, adaptable, and professional demeanor suited for supporting students with diverse needs.
Location and Schedule
Position located in Belton, SC serving nearby school sites.
37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Onsite presence preferred to maximize student engagement and support.
