Overview Position: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Nurse Practitioner preferred) in the Urgent Care department at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson MedOne, Anderson, Indiana. Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (shifts vary). Call Schedule: None. Location: Anderson, Indiana. Facility: Anderson MedOne.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with a physician, diagnose and treat selected acute or chronic health conditions and support the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services.
Obtain patient history and perform assessments; order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; conduct preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations.
Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including referrals to other providers or community resources.
Counsel and educate patients and families about preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
Document care delivery and nursing processes in accordance with specialty area standards and network policy.
Support the Urgent Care team in a fast-paced setting with a variety of patients.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 30 days of hire.
One or more of the following: ANCC, Indiana Board of Nursing, NCC credentials or RN credential with valid state license.
Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (required).
