$38.00/hr - $59.00/hr Responsibilities

Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Exhibits leadership skills, acts as a mentor and role model, works with minimal supervision, and can provide direction to the team in the coordinator/manager’s absence. Trains and mentors new staff and students. Acts as a lead tech when assigned. Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment. Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality. Assists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment. Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns. Practices infection control and sterile techniques. Understands and operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions. Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Qualifications

ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required IV Certification within 30 days of hire Proficiency in at least three of the specified MR-related areas or pediatric MRI experience as 80% of patient workload Must complete at least five cases per specialty procedure with skills pass off by a lead MRI technologist or coordinator Three years of MRI experience, preferred Bachelor’s degree, preferred Physical Requirements

Ongoing ability to see and read information, identify equipment, and operate monitors Frequent interaction with patients and staff; ability to communicate clearly in emergency situations Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment; extensive computer use Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment; navigate crowded rooms Ability to stand for extended periods Location and Schedule
