As a CT Technologist you will produce cross‑section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Utilizing advanced training and knowledge you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. You will serve patients in the Emergency Room and inpatient settings and set the tone for patient care. This role is critical to the overall treatment of our patients and makes you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.

A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) from 7:00AM – 7:30PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology.

Operate equipment safely and maintain A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing procedures.

Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.

Document in charts and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.

Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation.

Provide copies of imaging studies.

Perform routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures.

Abide by all regulations that apply to state and national standards.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.

Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within one year of hire.

Current state licensure.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute‑care imaging setting.

Physical Requirements:

Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments, respond to numerous requests, collaborate with the healthcare team, exercise self‑control, tolerate stress, and make decisions.

Special Demands: Minimal sustained direction needed; self‑started, self‑motivated; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day as required to accomplish work.

Physical Requirements: Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; requires standing; may include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs; requires finger dexterity and eye hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
