Overview
Help us grow our team to improve access to behavioral health services! The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical track faculty psychologist in Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health to provide clinical services and education in our new outpatient Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Health clinic. The psychologist will work in a new interprofessional outpatient clinic with psychology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, integrative medicine, and psychiatry. As part of the UVA Health Children’s system, the clinic serves all children regardless of insurance status and language preference. Responsibilities
Outpatient mental and behavioral health assessment and intervention for youth and families at the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Health clinic Providing consultation to medical and interprofessional teams Teaching medical fellows, residents, and medical students Participation on departmental and health system committees Qualifications
PhD/PsyD or equivalent from an APA-accredited program Completed an APA-accredited internship Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia Skilled in interprofessional practice in a complex, academic medical environment Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology once eligible About UVA Health and Department
The Section is part of UVA Health Children’s and UVA Pediatric Psychology; it is a collegial, collaborative environment with strong relationships to pediatricians, fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other allied health staff. UVA Health includes a Level 1 trauma center, a designated cancer center, and a Level IV NICU.
