Pay:
$96,047.76
Responsibilities
Assume 24‑hour responsibility and accountability for Veteran care on assigned unit
Oversee Veteran Care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
Direct nursing services, including oversight/review of work for assigned staff
Oversee the supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, clinical instruction, and feedback to the nursing staff
Manage unit in accordance with policy, procedure, state and federal regulations
Participate in key factor process and development/implementation of corrective action and policies
Meet with all 3 shifts at least once per month
Communicate with Veterans, family, staff and/or physician regarding medical condition, customer satisfaction, admissions, and discharge
Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure nursing team documentation meets MDS and the standards of practice
Make rounds daily to ensure Veteran care needs and environmental standards are met
Participate in Veteran care as needed, which could include lifting and transferring
Qualifications
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Missouri – in good standing
2+ years of experience as a registered nurse
