Overview

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is seeking a part time (3 days a week) Adolescent Medicine fellowship-trained pediatrician for immediate hire to join the Department of Pediatrics at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, New York. NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is a member of the New York City Health + Hospitals public hospital system and is located in one of the most ethnically diverse communities in New York. The Department of Pediatrics includes a busy Ambulatory Pediatric Service with innovative primary care programs, a Center for Child Development, a Level III NICU, and a Mother-Baby Unit with more than 1300 deliveries per year. The hospital has been designated Baby Friendly since Spring 2014. Responsibilities

Direct patient care in adolescent medicine and pediatric primary care. Quality improvement activities and collaboration with the Chief of Adolescent Medicine to build patient-centered services around healthy lifestyles, young adult pre-conception health, reproductive health, and behavioral health. Collaborate with the broader pediatric team to provide comprehensive primary care services promoting health and wellness across the life course. Offer long-acting reversible contraception as part of adolescent services. Engage in opportunities for program development, academic advancement, and teaching of students and adult primary care residents. Qualifications

BC/BE in Pediatrics. Valid New York State medical license and DEA. Adolescent medicine fellowship training (fellowship-trained pediatrician) preferred. Compensation and Appointment

Position includes a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications. Compensation will be pro-rated based on the full-time salary range of $205K to $210K. Application Instructions
