Overview
A full-time bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 public school setting in Newark, NJ, offering a contract for the complete school year. This role is open to part-time candidates as well, with a work schedule of 6.5 hours per day (32.5 hours per week), from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Responsibilities
Provide speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 30 students across three schools located within a two-mile radius of each other. Spend four days at two elementary schools and one day at a middle school, adapting therapy and assessments to fit the needs of a diverse student population. Conduct speech and language evaluations and implement individualized therapy plans. Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school policies. Qualifications
Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC). Experience in school settings (K-12). Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or current status. Experience in pediatric speech-language services. Healthcare and school-based SLP experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to support a bilingual student population.
