Position: Supporting Atwell Owner’s Representative and Construction Monitoring Services (OR/CMS) Team

Extensive Industry Experience:
Our team brings over 30 years of combined expertise and has supported more than 15,000 MW of renewable energy projects, including utility-scale solar PV, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission infrastructure.
Trusted by Project Owners and Developers:
We primarily partner with owners and developers of large-scale renewable energy projects, typically ranging in the hundreds of megawatts.
Comprehensive Project Support:
We provide end-to-end technical oversight throughout the engineering and construction phases, serving as trusted Owner’s Engineers and on-site representatives.
Representing client interests on-site by monitoring construction, interconnection, and commissioning activities performed by EPCs and third parties
Identifying and mitigating technical and execution risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Resolving issues proactively to minimize delays and safeguard project quality and performance
Key Responsibilities
Lead OE Oversight Activities : Serve as the primary point of contact for Owner’s Engineering services, integrating technical, environmental, scheduling, and document control functions into a cohesive project framework.
Cross-Disciplinary Coordination : Collaborate with engineering leads across electrical, civil, environmental, and permitting teams to align all deliverables and ensure consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear and timely communication with Owners, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to support transparency and alignment.
Document Control & Review Management : Oversee OE documentation workflows, including drawing reviews, comment resolution, and status tracking to support client decision-making and recordkeeping.
Schedule & Budget Monitoring : Track project milestones, update schedules, and support budget adherence by identifying and mitigating risks early.
Performance & Risk Reporting : Prepare and present project updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics to the Owner’s leadership team.
Compliance & QA/QC : Ensure all OE activities adhere to environmental regulations, design standards, internal processes, and client expectations.
Continuous Improvement : Capture lessons learned and develop recommendations for process optimization across projects.
Requirements
Prior experience in:
The construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects, 7+ years, including at least some of - civil, structural, mechanical, and/or electrical (DC, MV, HV) construction work
Renewable Energy Major Equipment types – PV modules, solar trackers, inverters, MV transformers, substations, MPT/GSU transformers, a plus: battery storage module, instrumentation, SCADA
Construction project management, quality management, and safety management practices
Construction document management systems
Construction management software
Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
Must possess or obtain, and maintain throughout, the following:
Valid US Driver’s License
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training certificate
NFP A 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace certificate
First Aid/CPR/AED certificate
Must be able to:
Engage directly and professionally with Atwell clients and all parties on site
Work at client project sites, long term, anywhere in the continental United States
Work outdoors, in all seasons, under all safe weather conditions
Safely drive and walk around a construction site and avoid all hazards
The project locations are in Texas and Illinois.
