Overview

Construction Manager role at WSP in the U.S. This is a Full-Time position with potential to work out of multiple U.S. offices including Tempe/Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Chicago, IL; or Detroit, MI. The successful candidate will provide construction and technical direction on building/facilities projects and oversee small to medium multi-discipline projects from assignment to commissioning, close-out, and turnover to the client. Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in tendering works, bid reviews and bid analysis. Manage construction projects upon award of contracts. Coordinate with contractors and ensure quality control, documentation, and timely reporting of project status. Maintain weekly construction logs and documentation as per contract requirements. Record and document significant verbal, telephone, and media messaging. Oversee change orders with detailed knowledge of contractual requirements. Monitor budget and schedule, ensuring adherence to cost and delivery commitments. Ensure safety compliance with WSP and USPS SH&E requirements; conduct project start-up meetings and participate in safety program documentation. Respond to RFIs, material and equipment submittals, and shop drawings; interface with client as required. Prepare project turnover documentation including as-built drawings and operation/maintenance manuals; participate in testing and commissioning of equipment and systems. Travel as needed (local/regional); up to 100% overnight travel may be required based on project needs. Implement standards in alignment with USPS/WSP program requirements and coordinate with senior construction managers for project planning and delivery. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schedules related to architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building structures. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum 7 years of experience in construction management or related disciplines; experience with outside vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Blue-Beam, AutoCAD; knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore) a plus and willingness to learn new software. Experience supervising or managing resources on light industrial or commercial projects (minimum 5+ years). Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills; ability to manage scope, time, cost, and quality; capability to coordinate multiple disciplines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, floor plans, shop drawings, specifications, and schedules. Physical Demands

Ability to stoop, sit, stand, or be on feet for extended periods and handle standard field-testing equipment. Willing to work in varying environments (office and field) and travel as required. Must pass drug test, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record per company policy (MVR). Benefits and Compensation
