Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from TekPro TekPro is partnered with a leading, high-tech foundry in Chicagoland in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer! Proven experience in tooling and process design is a hard requirement for this position. More specifically, we are seeking someone from metal casting or a similar process, such as injection molding. Design and redesign tooling, dies, and fixtures for improved manufacturability and efficiency. Implement customer and internal engineering change requests. Use CAD/software tools in accordance with drafting and modeling standards. Source and coordinate with internal/external suppliers for tooling needs. Lead or support cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, 5S, Root Cause Analysis). Analyze production data to recommend process and quality improvements. Prepare process documentation (routing, layouts, workflow diagrams). Support and lead capital improvement projects with cost justifications. Stay current on industry trends through training and networking. Additional Duties
Perform internal ISO audits, document quality issues, and assist in standardization efforts. Carry out miscellaneous engineering tasks as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in either Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering At least 3+ years of engineering experience Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S Seniority level
