Apparel Production Manager
to join our team in our New York office.
Position Overview:
The Apparel Production Manager will oversee the entire men’s apparel production lifecycle—from initial preproduction samples to final delivery. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, deep knowledge of garment construction, and the ability to manage timelines and quality standards across various categories of men’s clothing.
This position is in office 4 days a week and the 5th day is an optional work from home day.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all stages of apparel production, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality execution
Oversee and approve preproduction samples and all fit samples throughout the development process
Troubleshoot and resolve all fit, fabric, and construction issues in collaboration with design and technical teams
Communicate daily with factories (domestic and overseas) to ensure alignment on specs, timelines, and production goals
Work closely with our Chinese and Vietnamese factories to manage quality, lead times, and approvals
Track and manage production schedules, delivery timelines, and quality control checkpoints
Maintain detailed records of styles, changes, and sample approvals
Provide solutions and improvements to enhance the production process
Manage technical designer to ensure that tech packs are accurate and sent out in a timely manner
Develop proficiency in using the ERP system to set up new items and enter customer orders efficiently and accurately
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in apparel production, preferably in men’s wear
Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric performance
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Proficiency in Excel a must
Preferred
Experience with overseas production
Knowledge of men’s apparel-sportswear and tailored
Prior knowledge of ERP systems
