Overview: VTG is seeking a Flight Line Aircraft Mechanic II located in Patuxent River, MD. What will you do? Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions. Demonstrate operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines, and component parts. Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. Maintain aircraft hydraulic systems. Possess knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance. Read, write, interpret, and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems. Conduct troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. Overhaul aircraft components and sub-components. Perform functional checks, inspections, and troubleshooting as required and trained. Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Do you have what it takes? Must be a U.S. Citizen. Proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignment. High school diploma or equivalent—General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Must be skill qualified in a primary MOS of 6113/6173, 8303 NEC, or equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Power plant Certification. Must have four (4) years' minimum experience with rotary wing aircraft. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. About the company
