Responsibilities

Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions

Maintain operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts

Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations

Maintain aircraft fuel, oil and hydraulic systems

Use hand tools in aircraft maintenance

Read, write, and interpret or comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives

Perform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and systems

Troubleshoot, repair, modify, perform corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and systems, including fuel, oil and hydraulic systems; overhaul components as needed

Service ground support equipment and perform preventive maintenance inspections on GSE

Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' rotary wing aircraft experience

Must be qualified in a primary MOS from 6113/6173 Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill from other services, or possess valid FAA A&P Certification

Proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignment

High school diploma or GED

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and base access

Physical Requirements

Lift, push, pull and manipulate 50 lbs independently when needed

Climb ladders as required

Enter and exit aircraft repeatedly via stairs

Stand, bend, kneel, squat, crawl around aircraft for maintenance

Work in confined spaces as needed

Exposure to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and solvents

Work in a high-noise aircraft hangar/flightline environment

FIT for Duty Physical is required; may require DOT and Respiratory Physicals
