Overview

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. Responsibilities

Manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require 4 year degree. Primarily tactical responsibilities. This does not include general administrative work. Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or related technical area from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED accompanied by 4 years of manufacturing or production experience. Eligibility Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future This position is 100% onsite at the GE factory in Schenectady, NY Desired Characteristics

Manufacturing experience or internship in manufacturing environment preferred. Technical aptitude in an engineering discipline. Experience with tooling design and or process improvement. Ability to present clearly to manufacturing operators and leadership. Experience in writing standard operating procedures. Ability to document, plan and execute programs. Pay and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $74,800 - $112,200. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
