GE Vernova Job Description Summary Major activities include design and development of GE Vernova turbo-generator electrical and mechanical packaging involving control hardware & instrumentation components, generator end shield packaging, generator foundation interfaces and rotor shaft bearing lubrication and hydrogen sealing. For example, you will design and create documentations for the turbo-generator instrumentation (to measure temperature, magnetic flux & vibration), cables and junction boxes, wiring diagrams and interface with controls team. You will carry out design improvements and cost reduction of existing components such as generator end shields. You will support GE-Vernova internal & external customers, factories, sourcing, and suppliers to resolve issues and qualify components & products. Support component level as well as assembled generator testing to learn, improve and validate our designs. Responsibilities
Execute the analysis and design of assigned projects using sound electrical/mechanical engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work involves control hardware and instrumentation, mechanical packaging of generator subsystems such as end shields and foundation interfaces. Broadening and deepening knowledge of your own technical discipline to execute a world class design of GE-Vernova products and services. Develop understanding of key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish excellence. Good understanding of how work of your team integrates with other teams and contributes to our business. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolved issues with good technical knowledge and engineering judgment within established procedures. Consult more senior team members for guidance outside of defined instructions/parameters. Very good interpersonal skills. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college. Knowledge in Control Hardware and Instrumentation. Additional Requirement

1 year of design engineering experience is a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Basic knowledge of instrumentation & control, electrical machines, machine design, solid mechanics, heat transfer, materials, and manufacturing processes, structures and vibration. Ability to use CAD tools (Aviva, UG-NX, Ansys). Ability to use PLM tool (Enovia) or similar. Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric design and tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with Codes and Standards. A continuous improvement (Lean) mindset. U.S. Based Candidates
The base pay range for this position is $71,600.00 - $107,400.00 USD per year. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% variable incentive performance bonus. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
