Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr An Associate Business Development Representative is responsible for selling RXO’s transportation services to small and medium-sized customers. With a strong focus on customer service and proactive communication, they identify, acquire, maintain, and grow their book of business through building meaningful customer relationships. Build a book of business by researching leads, cold calling, and persuading decision-makers to utilize RXO services; use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new opportunities. Serve as a consultative resource to customers regarding service offerings, market trends, and industry standards; provide quotes considering all variable factors. Support daily operational needs for customers through consistent communication and high levels of service. Meet or exceed outlined effort expectations and production metrics. Participate in an on-site customer project to gain hands-on industry experience (approx. 6 weeks at one RXO customer location during peak season). Develop skills through required sales training and continuous education; become subject matter experts on RXO services and market trends. Demonstrate strong negotiation, time management, relationship-building, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. Qualifications
Prior sales experience preferred with a keen interest in inside sales. Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, confidence, and ability to prioritize profitable opportunities. Excellent teamwork, organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency for goal achievement. Entrepreneurial and competitive spirit, self-motivation, and resilience under pressure. Effective written and verbal communication. Must be able to participate in a 6-week on-site project during peak season as described above. Benefits
