Guaranteed first-year income based on 1.0 FTE and years of direct experience: $82.77/hr - $94.30/hr Employment Bonus Relocation stipend based on miles between locations Education Loan Reimbursement program (if eligible) CME: up to $3,800 per calendar year (based on 1.0 FTE; prorated for lower FTE) Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Wellness Contact: Manjit Kaur, Provider Recruiter Job Summary Within scope of practice and in alignment with hospital bylaws and PHMG physician supervision expectations, responsible for advanced level nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patients. Includes patient and family teaching. Essential Functions
Identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues while delivering quality patient care. Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with the medical staff for consultation, collaboration, or referral. Provide directions to nursing and other staff. Prescribe medications and treatments; manage ongoing medications; order lab and diagnostic tests and interpret results. Educate patients and families about preventive care and treatments. Maintain legible, accurate, confidential medical records per standards. Assimilate new knowledge from conferences and literature into practice. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education Required: Meet educational requirements to obtain ARNP license in the state of practice Experience Credentials Required: Nurse Practitioner – Oregon or Required: Nurse Practitioner – Washington or Required: Nurse Practitioner – Alaska Required: DEA registration Required: Driver's license with proof of auto insurance Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support Skills Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development principles Effective verbal and written communication Interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, nursing staff, and other departments Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth and collaboration to improve patient quality Department / Location Notes
Behavioral Health: Requires training in psychopharmacology. Oregon West Network: License as a PMHNP. Oregon West Network – Wound and Ostomy: Outpatient care; five years clinical experience; wound care certification preferred; CWOCN/COCN timelines. Neurohospitalist NP: Stroke education requirement. Orthopedic Total Joint Care: Support to orthopedic service line; collaboration with surgeons; optimize care for high-risk patients. Palliative Care: Pain and symptom management; educate patients and families; Hospice and Palliative Care certification within 2 years. Cottage Grove: May include walk-in clinic; required FNP to serve all ages. PHSW Psychiatry Clinic: Advanced practice medical nursing in inpatient and partial hospital settings; education and consultation. PHSW Behavioral Health: 1 year experience preferred in psychiatric-mental health nursing. PHSW Heart & Vascular: Cardiovascular disease management knowledge; coordinate testing and care; clinical nursing leadership in cardiac topics. PHSW Pain Management: Focused assessments; manage chronic pain; advanced nursing practice in pain management preferred. PHSW Hospice and Palliative Care: Experience with terminally ill patients; ACHPN preferred. PHSW Bariatric Center: Ability to teach weight management and diabetes. PHSW Interventional and Procedural Imaging: Procedural imaging RN; ACLS required; experience preferred. Working Conditions
Physical and environmental considerations include lifting, sedentary work vs. patient handling requirements, exposure to biohazards and body fluids, and travel within a medical setting.
