Overview Performs computerized imaging; maintains knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assists patients and physicians as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

Necessary Skills:

Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot

Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients screening and patient limitations

Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

License qualifications/certifications (one of the following):

Combination 1: FL DOH license; General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant; ARRT (R) Radiography. Within 1 year of hire, obtain ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.

Combination 2: FL DOH license; Nuclear Medicine Technologist; ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology - OR - NMTCB, AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.

Combination 3: FL DOH license; Radiation Therapy Technologist; ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.

Combination 4: FL DOH license; General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, or Computed Tomography; ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.

Required Experience: Less than one year in computerized imaging (CT, x-ray, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy), or graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program.

Preferred Experience: One year of radiology experience within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI and graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program or 1 year of CT imaging experience.
