Overview Performs computerized imaging, knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assist patients and physicians as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
Necessary Skills:
1. Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot. 2. Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients, screening and patient limitations.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. A minimum of one of the following license qualification/certification combinations:
License qualification: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant; Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography. Must obtain ARRT (CT) within 1 year of hire.
License qualification: FL DOH license qualification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist; Certification/registration: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology or NMTCB, and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
License qualification: FL DOH license qualification: Radiation Therapy Technologist; Certification/registration: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
License qualification: FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, or Computed Tomography; Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
Required Experience:
Less than one year in computerized imaging or graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program.
Preferred Experience:
One year of radiology experience within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI, and graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program, or 1 year of CT imaging experience.
