Overview

Tampa General Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off-campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology for patients across the lifespan (pediatric and adult). The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase functional independence and improve quality of life through evidence-based practices. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be part of an interdisciplinary team with PT, OT, and SLPs delivering world-class care. Primary caseload is pediatric; OT may also work with patients from other ages to meet department needs. Must have minimum 3 days/week weekday availability. Responsibilities

Be part of an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs delivering evidence-based care to patients. Primary caseload will be pediatric patients, with potential to work with others to support department needs. Develop individualized treatment plans with patients and/or family members. Collaborate with team members across disciplines to optimize patient care. Manage patient caseload and documentation according to department guidelines. Stay current with evidence-based practice through professional development. Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with patients, physicians, and referral sources; participate in team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Travel may be required to meet operational needs at various locations. Qualifications

Licensure/Registration: Licensure by the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist. Minimum 1 year of experience in Pediatrics. Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of normal growth and development across the pediatric continuum (infants to 18 years); clinical skills for birth to 18 years; experience treating a range of diagnoses including prematurity, autism, acquired brain and spinal cord injury. Ability to develop individualized treatment plans with patients and families; collaborate with multiple disciplines. Caseload management and documentation; adherence to department guidelines. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with patients, physicians, and referral sources. Active participation in team meetings. Schedule: Per Diem/Pool; Monday–Friday availability; shift hours vary. Additional Details
