Cleveland Clinic This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers in this role working varying shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Responsibilities
Perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology. Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards while performing procedures. Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics. Document in charts and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination. Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation. Provide copies of imaging studies. Perform routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures. Abide by all regulations that apply to state and national standards. Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire Current Florida state licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Knowledge of federal and state regulations Preferred qualifications
Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting Physical requirements and safety
Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team and maintain operational efficiency; problem solve and make decisions; manage stress when dealing with multiple requests. Special Demands: Self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight hours per day as needed. Physical: Requires standing; may involve lifting up to 100 lbs; finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard. Personal Protective Equipment
