Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Nocturn Intensivist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our collegial Critical Care team at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. ICU/Critical Care experience as a PA or NP is preferred, but we will accept new graduates with prior ICU/CCM nursing experience. Autonomy for your work with in-house support at all times. Under supervision of a physician, the PA is responsible for caring for, treating, and triaging patients' medical, physical, and psychosocial needs. Essential Functions
Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical exams, interpret lab and diagnostic results. Order, collect, and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Provide procedures, assist in surgery, and conduct follow-up. Order, prescribe, and dispense medications within scope and state regulations. Maintain records and document patient progress. Counsel patients on preventive care, medical issues, and medications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education: Accredited PA or NP program required. Board certification by AAPA or AACN required. Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred; new graduates with ICU/CCM nursing experience considered. Credentials: Certification as PA or NP required. Within 30 days: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required. Skills: Knowledge of age-specific growth, development, and patient needs. Effective communication skills. Interpersonal skills for team collaboration. Ongoing educational commitment. Basic computer skills. Department/Location Notes
