Responsibilities
Manage and deliver patient care using the nursing process
Assess and reassess patient conditions
Develop and implement care plans
Coordinate and supervise care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel
Provide guidance and mentorship to staff and students
Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals
Participate in on-call rotations as required
Possibly float to other units as needed
Assist with physical restraint of patients using Behavior Management Techniques (for Mental Health staff)
Qualifications
Current RN licensure in Oklahoma or multistate license via Nurse Licensure Compact
Current BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire)
Effective communication skills in English
Department-specific competencies during orientation
Additional Requirements by Department
Hospice: CPR certification; CHPN preferred
Radiology: ACLS certification
Employee Health: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, proof of insurance
Mental Health: Ability to operate INTEGRIS or personal vehicle, valid driver’s license
Emergency Department: PALS certification within 12 months, ACLS within 6 months
Physical and Safety Considerations Position may involve physical demands and respiratory fit testing. Exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment is possible. Standard precautions are required.
