Responsibilities

Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Provide direct patient care and coordinate with licensed and non‑licensed personnel.

Mentor non‑licensed personnel and students as appropriate.

Assist with physical restraint of patients using the identified Behavior Management Technique System.

Participate in on‑call status and may float to other units as required.

Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals relevant to the level of patient contact.

Qualifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma or a multistate license from an eNLC member state.

Current BLS certification at hire or completion within 30 days of hire.

Effective verbal and written communication in English.

In‑department specific competencies completed during orientation.

Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation (as applicable to the unit).

For Hospice staff: Current CPR (preferred CHPN).

For Radiology staff: Current ACLS certification.

For Mental Health staff: Current Oklahoma State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

For Emergency Department staff: PALS certification within 12 months of hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Physical Demands Potential exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Must follow standard precautions and perform required physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
