Job Summary The Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will deliver therapy to children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Responsibilities
Develop, review, and update individualized patient care plans addressing specific speech and language needs in alignment with supervising therapist.
Deliver speech therapy services and activities for patients with speech and language disorders.
Create and maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes in a timely manner.
Attend and participate in case conferences with local teams monthly, and actively participate in staff development opportunities.
Communicate between supervising therapist, agency, clients, and Area Support Manager to ensure a well‑coordinated approach to patient care.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field required.
Active Texas SLPA licensure or active process toward obtaining one required.
Preferred: 1 year supervised SLPA experience, home‑health experience, and familiarity with therapy documentation software.
