The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will help deliver therapy to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Responsibilities
Care Plan Development: Create, review, and update individualized patient care plans addressing specific speech and language needs. Therapy Services: Deliver Speech Therapy services and activities for patients with speech and language disorders. Documentation and Patient Records: Create and maintain patient records and clinical notes in a timely manner. Collaboration and Development: Attend and participate in case conferences and staff development opportunities. Communication: Communicate with the supervising therapist, agency, clients, and Area Support Manager to ensure a well-coordinated approach to patient care. Requirements
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field required. Active Texas SLPA licensure or actively in process towards obtaining one required. Preferred: 1 year supervised SLPA experience, home health experience, and familiarity with therapy documentation software.
