Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
in Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science required.
5 years under the direction of an MT or Pathologist.
2 years leadership experience preferred.
HT(ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) strongly preferred.
MT(ASCP) – Medical Technologist Upon Hire Or CT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) or SCT (ASCP) Upon hire
Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire Or HT (ASCP) – is supervising Histology within Anatomical Pathology required
Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory to include the Gross Room, Immunohistochemistry, Frozen Section Rooms, and Specimen Processing
Oversee work schedules of Histotechnologists
Resolve quality control discrepancies
Participate in training of staff
Ensure Anatomic Pathology Laboratory complies with the CAP guidelines
