As a Gensler
Architect
with our Healthcare team in Florida (offices in Miami and Tampa), your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. We are collaborative and client-focused, with a commitment to design experience, sustainability, and social purpose. Join our team and leverage informed, user-centered design to unlock innovative solutions in healthcare design. What You Will Do
Coordinate documentation with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.) Collaborate with project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants on healthcare projects (medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.) Manage communication and approvals with AHCA Resolve technical and design issues to produce innovative, feasible solutions Oversee production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks Ensure delivery of high-quality documents reflecting design intent Maintain project manuals and specifications Conduct on-site observations and reviews Process submittals/substitution requests and address RFIs during construction Interface with building and permitting officials during project phases Participate in project financial performance and contribute to proposals and contracts Build and maintain client relationships Support and mentor team members Contribute to office activities and learning programs Your Qualifications
Experience with AHCA regulations and Florida healthcare projects (preferred) Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school 10+ years of experience in healthcare architecture, from feasibility to construction documentation Experience delivering healthcare buildings Knowledge of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI, FBC, NFPA) LEED AP (or in process) preferred Expertise in building codes, standards, and structures Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment Strong collaboration and client relationship skills Registered / Licensed Architect (RA) Revit proficiency preferred Life at Gensler
