Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts with coaching and follow-up to improve performance Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following, and directing others to follow, pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Providing empathetic patient care, collaborating with the patient’s healthcare team, and resolving insurance or medication issues Immunizing patients and mentoring Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization skills where permissible Managing pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products Onboarding new Technicians and Pharmacists, and ensuring timely completion of required training and licensure Maintaining compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalating issues when needed Partnering with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure training for licensure Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, delivering performance reviews and closing gaps Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic and managing the pharmacy schedule Reviewing business reporting to drive improvements in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Fostering a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion with opportunities for feedback Maintaining clinical and technical skills and pursuing opportunities to support patients Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible Complying with federal and state laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies, including controlled substance processes Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and focus: concentrate, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy Customer service and team orientation: help others and respond to patient reactions Communication: verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues; active listening Mathematical reasoning: calculate days’ supply, quantities, and related calculations Problem resolution: address challenging interactions and determine best actions Physical demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger movement, visual acuity Team management and leadership: lead by example, delegate, motivate, coach, and address performance Other duties as directed by supervisor or manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader program 3-5 years of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $70.00 - $88.00 This base pay range is for the role’s grade and may vary by experience, education, geography, and other factors. CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentives may apply in addition to base pay. Benefits
