To support our continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who can drive excellence across our production processes and help us exceed customer expectations. This role is based on-site at our Lilburn, GA facility.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage quality assurance activities for PCBA, cable, and mechanical assembly lines.

Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102D standards.

Program, operate, and debug AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) systems.

Analyze inspection data and manage quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to drive continuous improvement.

Conduct root cause analysis and lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

Maintain compliance with customer requirements, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ISO 9001, and AS9100D standards.

Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues in real-time.

Train and support operators and inspectors on inspection methods, quality alerts, and process audits.

Support internal and customer audits with documentation and data as needed.

Modify and update work instructions, quality control plans, and SOPs as needed.

Qualifications

2–5 years of quality engineering experience in electronics manufacturing (PCBA preferred).

Strong understanding of AS9102D FAI reporting, IPC standards, and aerospace/defense quality requirements.

Experience with AOI/AXI programming, setup, and troubleshooting.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP and QMS platforms.

Skilled in data analysis, trend tracking, and corrective action systems (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in PCB assembly and electronic systems.

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand, walk, or move between workstations as needed.

Experience working with NADCAP or ITAR-compliant programs.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), IPC-A-610 Trainer, or ASQ certifications.

Familiarity with customer portals and supplier quality audits.

Experience working in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.

Certification in Six Sigma, ASQ, or IPC-related training.

Hands-on electronics manufacturing experience.

Frequent interaction with production, engineering, and quality teams.

Exposure to moderate noise, soldering fumes, and ESD-controlled areas.

Work on-site in Lilburn, GA in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, purchasing, and executive leadership.

Split time between office-based tasks (e.g., documentation, data analysis, customer communication) and shop-floor activities (e.g., inspections, root cause analysis, AOI/AXI debugging).

Participate in continuous improvement meetings, internal audits, and customer visits.

Use both manual and digital tools to evaluate, monitor, and improve product and process quality.

What We Offer

$80,000–$110,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
