Overview
We are seeking an ambitious Operations and Production professional to lead the manufacturing of industrial and commercial textile products to be distributed to customers throughout the Midwest. As Production Manager of a modern 125,000 sq-ft production facility near Central Ohio, you will oversee daily production, maintenance, quality, packaging, logistics, and transportation of finished goods while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and the highest quality standards. With vertically integrated operations across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, the company produces over 18 million pounds annually of woven and nonwoven industrial wipers, disposable absorbents, and other specialty wiping solutions. Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr. Compensation includes an attractive base salary, bonus incentives, medical/dental benefits, 401-K plan, and paid vacation. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from Newark, Ohio. Essential Job Functions
Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and distribution. Supervise and develop a team of 40–50 employees, including 5 supervisors/managers, across sorting, cutting, packaging, warehouse, and transportation functions. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing practices, operator training, waste reduction, and equipment optimization. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, capital projects, and facility improvements. Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to meet rapidly changing customer demands and delivery expectations. Maintain and enhance quality standards, including laundry processing, sorting, cutting, metal detection, and packaging. Monitor operational KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
BS/BA degree preferred or related Operations or Production Management experience. 5+ years of progressive Operations Leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Prior managerial or supervisory experience is essential. Demonstrated success in improving plant performance, implementing lean manufacturing, and leading/developing teams. Knowledge or exposure to textile production planning, maintenance practices, distribution schedules, commercial laundry, and/or automated packaging is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop concise persuasive business arguments. Strong technical skills with the ability to assess operations and maintenance, analyze data, and prepare summary reports for senior leadership review. Flexibility and adaptability, with the skills to relate well throughout all levels of the company. Good physical fitness with the ability to be on a production floor for many hours at a time.
