Quality Control Technician
to join their team onsite in San Diego. In this role, you will be responsible for
inspection and quality control
across incoming, in-process, and final products, ensuring all components meet stringent defense and aerospace standards. You’ll collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and military/aerospace requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electrical/electronic assemblies, PCB boards, mechanical parts, and components
Interpret and apply IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, microscopes) for detailed inspections
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Maintain inspection records in line with AS9100 traceability requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing (defense/aerospace preferred)
IPC-A-610 Class 3 and IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 certification (preferred)
Familiarity with AS9100 and military/aerospace standards
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality database systems
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical training in electronics, quality control, or related field preferred
