Lead Building Engineer
in Dallas, Texas. This full‑time role involves preventive maintenance, corrective repair, and energy management for buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
About the Role Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Work under limited supervision, monitor building system operations, and apply trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
What You'll Do
Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and meets environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
Perform contracted work including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.
Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs.
Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently and keep operating costs at a minimum, including building lighting system maintenance and repairs or replacements.
What You Will Need
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Ability to comprehend instructions and memos, ask clarifying questions, and efficiently present information to an internal department or large groups of employees.
Uses personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.
